Canada’s DART Aerospace on Thursday said it has acquired Colorado-based Paravion Technology and its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service arm Century Helicopter, complementing its portfolio of products for original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket for the helicopter and aerospace industry and adding work in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance completion space.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
DART, which is based in Montreal, provides equipment and services, replacement parts, and tooling for civil and military operators, completion centers, MRO facilities and all major rotorcraft original equipment manufacturers.
Paravion’s products include environmental control systems, camera mount systems, and the Heliporter ground handling unit for helicopters. Century Helicopters has expertise in completing ISR work on helicopters and DART said it plans to leverage this expertise and grow this segment of the business.
“This is an exciting time for Paravion and our customers,” Larry Hansen, president and CEO of Paravion and Century, said in a statement. “This blending of capabilities and products will provide increased support and opportunity to our current customers and, through DART’s extensive network, bring quality Paravion products to a larger share of the market.”
