The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate has issued its Long Range Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for calendar year 2009 seeking proposals on a wide range of topics, including explosives countermeasures, chemical and biological analyses and countermeasures, border and maritime security, command, control and interoperability, human factors and behavior sciences, and infrastructure and geophysical. The proposals can be for basic science, basic research and technology demonstrations. S&T also says that proposals to address technology gaps in its June 2008 document, High Priority Technology Needs are also welcome. Sol. No. BAA 09-05. Respond by Dec. 31.
