The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology (S&T) Directorate has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for new concepts and technologies for the post-event detection of Low Volatility Organophosphates (LVOPs) on surfaces and in air. Detection will be conducted subsequent to the sites’ contamination with dispersed LVOPs in liquid or solid form on a variety of surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, glass, metal, paint, plastic, rubber and wood. Detection may be accomplished by direct contact, material sampling, standoff, remote sensing, or other methods. S&T seeks near real-time detection as well as the chemical composition of the contamination. Sol. No. 10-01-detect. Respond by May 14.
