The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate is seeking architect and engineering sources to expand its Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) in Atlantic City, N.J. Under the TSL Infrastructure Investment Program S&T plans to renovate and expand 95,000 square feet of new facilities and 13,900 pounds of explosive storage. Currently TSL consists of 70,000 square feet of facilities and 2,600 pounds of explosive storage. The final campus will include 50,000 square feet of office space, 93,000 square feet of lab space, 22,000 square feet of storage space and 16,500 pounds of explosive storage. The core mission of the TSL is to perform research, development and validation of solutions to detect and mitigate the threat of improvised explosive devices. Sol. No. HSFLBP-10-R-00001.
