The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has issued Requests for Information (RFIs) in two areas: one is options for effective screening of mail, packages and freight processed through internal mail handling facilities worldwide. Screening is required fro the full range of hazards including chemical warfare agents/toxic chemical materials, radioactive materials, biological materials and toxins, explosives, and other hazardous or prohibited materials such as weapons and drugs. In the other RFI the DIA is investigating options for a non-destructive inspection process to determine whether a person is carrying, or a vehicle or package contains, explosive material. Solutions would apply to the inspection of persons, mail, packages and freight, and vehicles entering DIA facilities worldwide. Respond by July 24.
