The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather technical and engineering information on commercial off-the-shelf gamma and radiation detection systems that can be used in potential testing. DNDO expects to test mobile devices that can be used in a maritime environment mounted on or in a small boat. DNDO wants to test systems that that meet certain criteria such as having both gamma-ray and neutron detection capability, near real-time radionuclide identification, data transfer to a computer, and more.
