The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has issued a Request for Information related to leveraging the improvements of individual radiation detectors by integrating information from multiple detectors. DNDO is interested in building upon the current hardware detection programs and focus on the development of software and networks that take advantage of stand-alone, small form factor, and very capable sensors. DNDO anticipates that there will eventually be an Advanced Technology Demonstration in the area of Intelligent Radiation Sensor Systems. The system should be able to handle information from between two and 20 devices. The RFI seeks information on relevant technologies, capabilities and concepts in network architecture, source detection and location, source identification, and overall system cost. Sol.
