Israel’s Elbit Systems [ESLT] recently said it was recently awarded several airborne upgrade contracts in Europe totaling about $80 million.
While the customers could not be disclosed, the contracts “were all received from existing customers for whom the company has already performed upgrade projects,” Yoram Shmuely, joint general manager of Elbit’s Aerospace Division said.
The contracts call for the upgrade of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters and will encompass the installation of some of Elbit’s innovative systems, including displays, battle mission computers, command and control systems and advanced helmet systems, Elbit said.
Work for these deals will be performed over the course of the next three years.
