Engility Holdings [EGL] on Wednesday said it is creating five new centers of excellence within the company to leverage its domain expertise in key strategic areas to strengthen its competitive position and better help its customers.
The five Ennovation Centers, as Engility calls them, are in agile software development, artificial intelligence, cyber, high performance computing, and modeling and simulation.
“By concentrating our subject matter and technical expertise under these Ennovation Centers, our customers have easier access to the resources needed to apply today’s solutions and test tomorrow’s technologies,” Lynn Dugle, Engility’s CEO, said in a statement.
The new centers will virtually bring together the company’s experts and key tools to help its federal customers.
A company spokesman told Defense Daily the centers will help current customers by providing a source of innovation and will be competitive discriminators for future bids. He said the centers will also help increase awareness across Engility of the company’s expertise in the strategic areas.
“Our goal is to expand the Ennovation Centers as new technologies arise and the government’s challenges and opportunities evolve,” Gay Porter, vice president of the company’s Technical Solutions Group, said in a statement. She will oversee the new centers, which will each be led by a subject matter expert.
