EU Approves Smiths Detection Scanner for Standard 2

Smiths Detection says its dual-view HI-SCAN 10080 EDX-2is hold baggage screener has received approval from the European Union for explosive detection system Standard 2 performance. The 10080 EDX joins the company's 10080 EDtS on the list of hold baggage screeners that have achieved EDS Standard 2 certification. Smiths Detection also says that its dual-view Hi-SCAN 6040aX baggage screening X-Ray system has gained EU approval for liquid explosive detection systems Standard 1 Type C operations.
