Crimson Phoenix, a supplier of information technology and data analytics solutions to the national security community, has acquired Cyberspace Solutions LLC (CSS) in a deal that bolsters its work with the U.S. Special Operations Command and Defense Intelligence Agency.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Crimson Phoenix is a platform company focused on intelligence, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. Crimson Phoenix is a portfolio company of the private equity firm Godspeed Capital Management

CSS was a part of Illuminate and provides all-source intelligence gathering, analysis, and data and analytical support services.
“Cyberspace Solutions brings to Crimson Phoenix long-standing customer relationships and prime contracts with U.S. Special Operations Command and the Defense Intelligence Agency,” Ross O’Rourke, CEO of Crimson Phoenix, said in a statement. “CSS’ dedicated, experienced, and highly trained and cleared employees will bolster our data-driven intelligence strategy as they support our country’s national security objectives.”
Scott Crane, who was Illuminate’s chief financial officer, now has the same role with Crimson Phoenix.
CSS’ financial adviser on the deal was The Chertoff Group’s Chertoff Capital investment banking subsidiary.
Illuminate is a portfolio company of RLH Equity Partners.
