TCN shpk, an Albanian incorporated company, is now a qualified NATO supplier, enlarging the nation’s alliance participation beyond the political into the business and commercial areas of the alliance.
The NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) on behalf of the alliance signed a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) at NATO headquarters May 31.
TCN, a leading system integrator and infrastructure company, is now qualified to supply NATO with products, solutions, services, system engineering and integration for IT, communications, and airport and air traffic control infrastructure, the NC3A said in a statement.
The geographic scope of the agreement extends to all NATO member countries and other countries where NATO has ongoing operations.
NC3A is the lead NATO body for the acquisition and development of Consultation, Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities in support of NATO missions and operations.
This BOA is the first one signed by NATO and an Albanian company. It provides the prospect of economic benefits to Albania and promotes the growth of internal high technology defense capabilities.
At the signing, TCN’s CEO Adrian Shehu said the BOA is a very important achievement for the company. It opens new business prospects, expands TCN’s international operations, and provides new challenges for the company.
“We remain committed to the core values of our company and to the quality of our systems, solutions and services. We will become a loyal and reliable partner of NATO” Shehu noted.
Georges D’hollander, general manager of NC3A, said: “This is certainly a historic occasion, and we are proud to welcome the Albanian industrial community to NATO.”
Specific projects will be competed in the future, but the agreement paves the way for cooperation between TCN and NC3A for the provision of products and services required by NATO and its member nations.
TCN also supplies advanced technology systems, products, solutions and services in defense, electronics, and telecommunications to government and commercial customers.
