The Germany Interior Ministry has awarded Smiths Detection a contract to provide about 50 Advanced Technology (AT) X-Ray systems for security checkpoints at Frankfurt International Airport. The value of the award was not disclosed. The X-Ray systems include HI-SCAN 6040 aTiX and HI-SCAN 7555 aTiX systems, combined with re-inspection components and other equipment to facilitate carry-on baggage screening for liquid explosives.
