General Tactical Vehicles (GTV), a joint venture between General Dynamics Land Systems [GD] and AM General LLC, yesterday said it decided not to pursue a protest of the Army’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) contract awards made last month.
“While we steadfastly stand behind our offering as the proper balance to the NDI acquisition strategy the services requested, we want the program to move forward and look to contribute to this program in the future,” the company said in a statement.
GTV joins two other unsuccessful bidders on the engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) phase of the Army-Marine program Navistar Defense [NAV] and BAE Systems officials said. All three have determined not to pursue protests (Defense Daily, Sept. 5).
In late August, the Army made EMD awards for proposals from AM General, Lockheed Martin [LMT] and Oshkosh [OSK] (Defense Daily, Aug. 23).
