HASC Stands Up New Task Force Dedicated to ‘Future of Defense’

The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) has announced the stand-up of a new bipartisan task force dedicated to providing oversight of U.S. defense capabilities and assessing the ability of U.S. industry to meet emerging threats. HASC Chair Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and Ranking Member Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) announced the activation of the task force in an Oct. 18 press release. HASC members Reps.
