IBM Wins Potential $491M USCIS IT Award

IBM [IBM] has won a potential five-year, $491.1 million contract by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency to move the agency to a new centralized and consolidated electronic environment to allow faster, more efficient and accurate immigration benefits determination and processing. The initial contract value is $14.5 million. USCIS receives about six million to eight million applications annually for immigrations benefits, such as employment visas, legal permanent residence and citizenship.
