Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has awarded Hewlett Packard [HPQ] a $41.6 million contract to provide application services to the agency’s Law Enforcement Support Center (LESC) to help speed internal processes regarding immigration status determination. HP will automate the existing manual status determination process, develop warrant creation, jail roster/release and criminal alien tracking as well as integrated case management services. The contract supports the Department of Homeland Security’s Secure Communities initiative. The LESC provides federal, state and local law enforcement officers and investigators a range of informational services 24 hours a day throughout the year. The award was made under the EAGLE contract.
