Implant Sciences [IMSC] has received a $6 million order from India’s Ministry of Defence for its Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 portable explosives detectors for use in force protection and public safety applications throughout the country. The order is the largest single contract in Implant’s history and represents a new customer. The entire order is expected to be shipped by June 30. “Implant Sciences is the sole contract awardee after an arduous competitive evaluation that started over 24 months ago,” says Jeff Tehan, Implant’s vice president of marketing and sales.” The company has partnered with LNG Security Services of Delhi, who will provide warranty and post-warranty technical support, as well as operator and administrator training. The QS-H150 offers non-contact sample collection and simultaneous detection and identification of explosives particulate and vapor.
