Iraq Requests $395 Million In Ammunition

The State Department approved a possible $395 million Foreign Military Sale (FMS) request to Iraq for various ammunition and associated equipment, parts, and logistical support.The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the potential sale on May 5.The primary contractors would be American Ordinance and AMTEC.The requested FMS would include 5,000 81mm High Explosive Mortar Ammunition, 684,000 M203 40mm High Explosive Ammunition, 532,000 MK19 40mm High Explosive Dual Purpose Ammunition, and 40,000 155mm High Explosives.The sale also includes small…
