ITT Exelis [XLS] yesterday said it has completed its $16.8 million acquisition of Australia’s C4i Pty. Ltd from the Longreach Group Limited, boosting its presence in Australia and bolstering its air traffic management portfolio with advanced communications software.
C4i will become part of the Information Systems business of Exelis.
“We look forward to synergies with our air traffic management business with an immediate focus on Australia’s oneSKY Australia initiative to combine civil and military air traffic control,” Pam Drew, president of Exelis Information Systems, said in a statement. “More broadly, we see opportunity for integrating C4i’s communications capabilities with Exelis’ expertise in developing and deploying large scale communications networks.”
C4i has about 45 employees and had about $9.5 million in sales for the 12-month period that ended in June 2012.
