Tactical data communications solutions and product provider IXI Technology on Monday said it has acquired RioTech Corp., expanding its current testing capabilities and contract manufacturing support with turnkey product, engineering services and testing capabilities to its military and commercial customers.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The acquisition of RioTech is part of the IXI Technology strategic plan to expand its product base to include advanced test systems,” Michael Carter, IXI’s CEO, said in a statement. “RioTech has been an industry leader designing custom test systems for semiconductors, analog and digital printed circuit board assemblies, radio frequency modules, and entire electronic systems.”
RioTech’s management will remain with the company. Both companies are based in California.
“By combining our engineering talents and expertise with IXI’s extensive data communications product and services portfolio, we are able to offer customers advanced turnkey solutions that meet the most exacting requirements,” Bill Elder, founder of RioTech, said in a statement.
Some of IXI’s products include converters, carrier cards, peripheral equipment emulators, multiplexers and air and naval tactical data systems. RioTech does software design, development of electronic consoles, control systems, remote monitoring, and test and measurement solutions.
