The private equity firm J.F. Lehman & Co. on Friday said its portfolio company US Joiner has acquired certain assets of Maritime Services Corp. (MSC), a provider of millwork, installation and ship interior outfitting to a range of customers from cruise ships to military vessels.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
J.F. Lehman in 2011 acquired US Joiner, a small firm that furnishes government and commercial maritime vessels.
“The purchase of these assets from MSC is an excellent addition to US Joiner and a highly complementary fit,” Joe Mullen, president of US Joiner, said in a statement. “We look forward to expanding our presence in the Pacific Northwest to better serve our existing customers as well as the broader marine marketplace in this region. In addition, the cruise market expertise that comes with this acquisition will grow our presence in this large and expanding industry sector.”
The acquisition does not include MSC’s Maritime Marine Centers business.
