Kuwait wants to buy 120 Raytheon [RTN] AIM-120-C-7 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) and India has requested 20 Boeing [BA] AGM-84L Harpoon Block II missiles, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said yesterday.
The Kuwait deal, worth $178 million, includes 78 LAU-127-B/A launchers, 78 LAU-127-C/A launchers and other equipment. The India deal, worth $170 million, includes four ATM-84L Block II exercise missiles and other equipment.
In addition, Finland has requested an F-18 Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU) program for its fleet of F-18 aircraft. The deal for the third phase of the MLU, worth $406 million, includes 79 Multifunctional Information Display Systems/Low Volume Terminals, 70 AN/ARC-210 Radios including the Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System, 75 AN/AYQ-9(V) Stores Management Systems Upgrades, 72 MIDS Electronic Interference Blanking Units, 72 Color Cockpit Displays, 70 Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing Systems (JHMCS) Laser Helmet Shields, one AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon Captive Air Training Missile, 15 AGM-154C JSOW Missiles, and one Lot JHMCS spares, and other equipment.
The principal contractor in that deal is Boeing.
