L-3’s eXaminer SX EDS Certified by TSA

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has certified L-3 Communications [LLL] eXaminer SX explosives detection system (EDS) for use in U.S. airports. The system is smaller and lighter than the current series of eXaminer EDS and is suitable for airport lobbies and can be integrated with baggage handling systems. L-3 says the system has a throughput of 360 bags per hour in line and 300 bags per hour in a stand alone configuration. The company also says the SX clears 98…
