Lockheed Martin [LMT] on Monday said that application delivery and network security firm Radware [RDWR] has joined its partnership that brings a variety of information technology companies together to focus on cyber security solutions.
“Prior to joining the alliance roster, we worked with Radware to share best practices and develop ways to address growing cyber threats,” Jeff Laskowski, manager of the Lockheed Martin Cyber Security Alliance, said in a statement. “The addition of Radware could not have come at a better time, as we continue to expand our global footprint and position the alliance as an advocate for information sharing and collaboration.”
Lockheed Martin formed the alliance in 2009 with the opening of its NexGen Innovation and Technology Center in Maryland, providing an environment where technology vendors can collaborate and share best practices, and also identify and implement solutions for cyber threat detection and protection to meet customers’ needs.
“Cyber attacks will grow in complexity, scale and impact as adversaries’ exploit cyber vulnerabilities for every advantage,” Howard Teicher, vice president of Public Sector for Radware, said in a statement. “Radware’s Attack Mitigation Solution automatically defends networks and applications against unknown and known threats. When integrated with the technology of the alliance members, we can significantly enhance the depth of cyber defense that Lockheed Martin can offer to protect IT infrastructure.”
Some of the other alliance partners include Cisco [CSCO], CyberPoint International, EMC Corp.’s [EMC] RSA Security Division, FireEye [FEYE], Intel [INTC], NetApp [NTAP], Symantec [SYMC], and Verizon [VZ].
