Lockheed Martin [LMT] on Monday said it is transforming its approach to its products in its Training and Logistics Solutions business by refocusing them within five areas to save money and increase efficiency.
“We are restructuring our approach to better leverage internal resources to bring greater innovation and affordability to the market,” Dave Scott, vice president of Business Development for Training and Logistics Solutions, said in a statement.
Lockheed Martin said the move will “save millions of dollars in engineering, development and proposal costs, which will allow the company to provide more predictable performance for customers while becoming more cost competitive.”
The new product portfolios are SciosView, an integrated suite of logistics products for full mission data support for air, land and sea platforms, SciosTrain, platform-based virtual training system to improve operational efficiency, SciosTest, test and support solutions, SciosLive, live, virtual and constructive training using virtual reality to deliver training, and SciosReady, turnkey solutions for performance-based training programs to meet evolving customer demands.
