Lockheed Martin To Launch Commercial Satellite For Earth Imagery

Lockheed Martin’s [LMT] commercial launch services plans to put a new WorldView-3 remote sensing satellite into space on Wednesday on behalf of customer DigitalGlobe, a commercial provider of Earth observation imagery. The launch is slated to take place at Vandenberg AFB, Calif., in mid-afternoon eastern time. WorldView-3 will be carried by an Atlas V rocket, and if successful, would mark the 118 Atlas V launch since 2002.
