Malaysia Selects Morpho for Identity Management System

Malaysia's National Registration Department has awarded Morpho a contract to acquire the company's MorphoCivis identity management system, which is designed to ensure the secure issuance of multi-application ID cards. The new biometric system will replace the government's current system which was supplied by Morpho in 1997. MorphoCivis is a software-based solution to register citizens using their fingerprints, photo and personal data, and reliably authenticate their identities when they access the various online services offered by the government.
