ManTech International [MANT] on Wednesday said it has been awarded a potential $668 million contract through the General Service Administration (GSA) to support the Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program that helps federal civilian agencies protect their networks.
The six-year task order was awarded under the CDM Dynamic and Evolving Federal Enterprise Network Defense (DEFEND) program for Group E, which applies to nine federal agencies.
“ManTech has played a strategic role in the CDM program for over three years, supporting more than 65 agencies in both Phases I and 2, and we’re honored to continue supporting the CDM program’s critical role in defending federal networks,” Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech, said in a statement.
The Group E agencies and departments include the Departments of Education and Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the HUD Office of Inspector General, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the National Science Foundation, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Small Business Administration.
ManTech said the contract was awarded on June 21. The GSA has also awarded a number of other CDM DEFEND task orders, including more than $1.6 billion to Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] for Groups B and D, $407 million to CACI International [CACI] for Group A, and $530 million for Group C to the U.S. federal unit of Canada’s CGI Group [GIB].
