Marine Corps Seeks Info on Rugged Mobile NII System

The Marine Corps Systems Command has issued a Request for Information to determine the availability of sources capable of providing a Rugged Mobile Non-Intrusive Inspection System (RMNIIS). A solicitation and contract award is expected to service as many as 10 RMNIIS systems from June 2010 to March 201. The RMNISS will be used in military and police security operations at checkpoints and entry control points in Afghanistan to identify concealed weapons, contraband, ordnance, and bulk explosives.
