Microsoft [MSFT]is making a play to be the cloud platform of choice for the space industry as on Tuesday it unveiled Azure Space, which will bring together Azure technology and a network of industry partners like SpaceX. Microsoft plans to give its customers satellite connectivity via SpaceX’s Starink constellation, and connect Starlink with its new Modular Datacenter (MDC) offering, which provides cloud computing in challenging environments.
