Allied Command Transformation is the lead on a NATO-wide Counter IED Action Plan in cooperation with relevant NATO bodies and committees.
NC3A will be part of the process, and maintain a close relation ship with all nation’s CIED experts.
The IED fight has recently been raised to the top of NATO’s agenda, and mentioned by the Secretary General as one of three areas where NATO nations could pool resources and pursue multinational solutions to “develop systems to protect soldiers and rapidly share best practices, because there are so many casualties because of IEDs.”
