NATO Taps Sikorsky, Airbus, Leonardo To Study Next-Gen Rotorcraft Concepts

NATO has selected Sikorsky [LMT], Airbus and Leonardo to study potential concepts for its Next-Generation Rotorcraft Capability (NGRC) program, which seeks to develop a new medium multi-role helicopter for certain alliance members in the 2035 to 2040 timeframe. The firms are tasked with leading teams to “identify and exploit cutting-edge technologies to meet the NGRC operational and supportability capabilities, as well as seeking innovation in digital design and development processes and advanced materials and manufacturing,” according to the NATO Support…
