The Navy has issued General Dynamics [GD] Bath Iron Works $610 million in funding for the construction of an Arleigh Burke-class (DDG-51) destroyer.The funding is for hull number 122 in the class of guided missile destroyers, and is part of a multi-year procurement for the ships with General Dynamics and Huntington Ingalls Industries [HII], which builds the vessels in Pascagoula, Miss.The Navy has issued a $604 million contract to HII’s Ingalls unit for construction of hull number 121 that was…
