NCI Inc. [NCIT, said Tuesday it was awarded a $5.2 million task order under the Total Engineering and Information Systems (TEIS) III contract for IT services in support of the Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Fort Detrick, Md., Engineering Directorate (ISEC-FDED).
NCI will provide flexible quality control and information systems engineering for a wide variety of IT projects and systems at U.S. government and host nation installations in the United States, Europe and the Pacific, the company said in a statement.. Systems supported include local area network switches, wireless local area network devices, dense wave division multiplexing systems, synchronous optical networks, voice systems, and Integrated Services Digital Networks.
“NCI has provided exceptional quality control support to the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command, Fort Detrick Engineering Directorate since 2007,” said Brian J. Clark, president of NCI. “In partnership with USAISEC-FDED and directly in support of its mission, our comprehensive approach ensures the demanding communication needs of today’s warfighter are central to every Army post worldwide.”
The TEIS III contract is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract that was awarded in March 2011. Contractors such as NCI, General Dynamics [GD] and SAIC [SAI] were named awardees on the contract that consolidates several IT services contracts into a single vehicle.
