Ben Bordelon will assume the duties of chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Bollinger Shipyards, the company announced on Tuesday.
Bordelon and the Chouest family of Galliano, La., have acquired all assets and stocks of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc.
Bordelon had previously served in various positions at Bollinger. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2002, served as executive vice president of repair, and most recently was chief operating officer.
“As the founder’s grandson, Ben Bordelon transitions Bollinger Shipyards to its third generation, as the new leadership of Bollinger Shipyards,” the company noted in a statement.
