French firms Nexter Systems and CILAS signed a letter of intent in mid-June for joint research work on the development of platform-based laser weapons. This is an opportunity for Nexter, designer and manufacturer of complex weapons systems with high technical added value, to study the implementation of laser weapons, and for CILAS, producer of laser sources for the defense sector, to apply its cutting edge technology.
