Northrop Grumman [NOC] late Thursday said it has completed the acquisition of Qantas Defence Services Pty Limited, expanding the company’s footprint in Australia.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Northrop Grumman said that the acquisition will not be material to its outlook this year.
Qantas Defense Services provides integrated logistics, sustainment and modernization support mainly to the Australian government and military customers. The company, which has annual sales of about $140 million and about 500 employees, is now called Northrop Grumman Integrated Defence Services (IDS).
“Northrop Grumman IDS enhances our in-country footprint and local capabilities, and demonstrates our commitment to the Australian and regional defense markets,” Ian Irving, Northrop Grumman CEO for Australia, said in a statement. “We expect this to be an important platform for international growth in our key focus areas of unmanned, cyber, C4ISR, and logistics and modernization.”
