Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is increasing the ceiling of its program development and management support services contract with Parsons from $29.8 million to $50.8 million due to a higher burn rate on current services than expected and for services to support work under the recently approved federal stimulus bill. Parsons, an engineering and construction firm, provides program development, data collection and assessment, and program support service’s to CBP’s Facilities Management and Engineering Directorate. CBP says it has experienced “exceptional growth” the past year in its mission and personnel and looking ahead plans to “embark on an ambitious plan to hire 11,000 law enforcement and support personnel to support the exponential growth.”
