Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., on May 6-9, 2019. SATELLITE unites aerospace thought leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, engineers, end-users and enthusiasts together in one place for the largest and most important global connectivity technology event of the year.
SATELLITE 2019 welcomes the following featured speakers:
David Reichert
Global Business Development, Electronics & Imaging, Interconnect Solutions, DuPont
David Reichert executes global business development for DuPont’s Electronics and Imaging Interconnect Solutions defense segment. He is responsible for helping create the business unit growth strategy, identifying technology gap opportunities, and execution of top programs. Reichert has 29 years of experience with DuPont, previously holding roles as a corrosion expert, fuel cell technology expert, fuel cell business leader, ballistics technology expert, and ballistics business development leader. He will join the program during the closing session “From the Outside Looking In: Industry 4.0 in Space” to discuss increased activity in space as a business investment.
Navid Motamed
Associate VP, Satellite Systems Development & Spectrum Engineering, AT&T
Navid Motamed is Assistant Vice President Public Policy at AT&T Navid’s current responsibilities include corporate development, strategic planning and public policy issues related to satellite communications and spectrum engineering. Previously, Navid was AVP- Satellite systems and engineering leading the team managing End to End Satellite Systems for DIRECTV and affiliated pay TV platforms in Latin America. Navid joined AT&T via DIRECTV in 2004 and has held various positions with the company related to satellite systems development. Prior to joining DIRECTV, Navid held positions with Booz Allen Hamilton, PanAmsat/Intelsat Corp, and Hughes Space and Communications. Navid will speak on a panel alongside experts from Echostar Satellite Services, LLC, Newtec, and SES for a session titled, “OTT and Streaming Digital Media Services”.
Emma Park
VP, Europe, Sigfox
Emma Park is Vice President Europe for Sigfox, inventor of the 0G network and the world’s leading IoT (Internet of Things) service provider, available in 60 countries with 1 billion people covered.
Emma has 22 years’ experience in various sales and business development roles in the IoT, Defense, Space and Telecommunications sectors. For the last 4 years, Emma has been leading Sigfox’s growth in Europe, expanding the network from 5 to 25 countries via the “Sigfox Operators” and pushing connectivity revenues significantly in the region. Emma joins the program to moderate a session titled, “Global Satellite Operators: The Future is Now” with other industry experts from around the globe.
Rebecca Keiser Ph.D.
Head, Office of International Science & Engineering, National Science Foundation
Rebecca Keiser, Ph.D. joined the Office of International Science and Engineering in 2015. She came to the National Science Foundation from NASA where she was a special advisor for Innovation and Public-Private Partnerships, reporting to the NASA Administrator and an executive-in-residence at American University. Keiser also served as assistant to the director for international relations at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where she provided policy guidance to the President’s science advisor. Keiser’s experience covers science and technology policy, agreements and other cooperative efforts. She is a board member of Women in Aerospace and a member of the American Academy for the Advancement of Science. Keiser will share her insight during the session entitled “Our Collective Role in Empowering Women and Cultivating Diversity in Aerospace” with women from Stellar Solutions, Springboard Enterprises, Lquinox Consulting, Ball Aerospace, Inmarsat, Inc, and Space Foundation.
