The investment firm Admiralty Partners on Tuesday said it has acquired the Santa Ana, Calif.-based aerospace business unit of General Electric [GE], which provides systems and components for military and commercial aircraft.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Admiralty Partners has renamed its new portfolio company Integral Aerospace. John Alves, senior vice president and general manager of Integral Aerospace, said in a statement that by joining Admiralty his company will gain access to “resources and flexibility to be responsive to a wide range of customers and requirements.”
Integral Aerospace provides landing gear components, carbon fiber filament wound external fuel tanks for Navy aircraft, aircraft-mounted fuel pumps and a variety of complex machined structures and engine components. The company’s products are flown on a range of military aircraft platforms including the Navy’s F/A-18 fighter, Army H-60 Black Hawk helicopter, the Navy’s X-47B unmanned combat aircraft system demonstration program, Predator-C unmanned aircraft, T-38 trainer, the C-130 cargo plane, and a number of jet engines.
