PRV Aerospace last week acquired Quality Forming, Inc., boosting its capabilities in forming and adding new defense programs to its mix.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. PRV is a portfolio company of the private equity firm Platte River Ventures.

California-based Quality Forming has expertise in titanium hot forming, hydro-forming, stretch forming and roll forming and offers precision machining, fabrication, tool design, assembly, welding, supply chain management and engineering support. The company does work on commercial and military aircraft platforms including Boeing [BA] 747 and 787 planes, the F-22 and F-35 fighters, UH-60 and CH-47 helicopters and C-130 transport.

PRV, which is based in Washington, does precision machining of hard metals, alloys and aluminum, sheet metal fabrication and production of complex assemblies for commercial aviation and defense programs.

Quality Forming has over 140 employees.

The investment advisory firm Houlihan Lokey, which announced the deal yesterday, was Quality Forming’s financial adviser.
