QinetiQ North America (QNA) has received a potential $15.6 million contract from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to manage services that facilitate in-transit visibility under the agency’s Total Asset Visibility program. The work includes providing all asset tracking devices and supplemental equipment, GPS messaging services to locate tagged-assets or shipments, ensuring security sharing of data feeds and messaging, technical support for ongoing operations and maintenance. The contract also covers surge capabilities for disaster operations. Numerex Corp. [NMRX], a provider of single source machine-to-machine products and services, is part of QNA’s team on the FEMA program. QNA, the U.S.-based subsidiary of Britain’s QinetiQ, also won three task orders from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide information technology support to the Secret Service’s Washington, D.C., headquarters. The task orders were awarded under the EAGLE program and are for Exchange Support Services, Active Directory Security Support, and Network Services and Technical Support. The Secret Service is a new customer for QNA.
