Rockwell Collins [COL] said recently the company will provide cockpit replacement parts for its Common Avionics Architecture System for the Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) under a $17.2-million contract renewal.
The company said the contract renewal would help it build on its track record of providing 100 percent availability of the parts.
The overall goal of this program is to assist the 160th SOAR in reducing the amount of spares that are required on the shelf, so spares can be used where they are needed most, said Scott Gunnufson, vice president and general manager of Service Solutions for Rockwell Collins. “This contract speaks to the effectiveness of our performance based logistics programs that consistently exceed our customers’ requirements for parts availability,” he said.
