RTX [RTX] on Thursday appointed Phil Jasper as president of its Raytheon operating segment, succeeding Wes Kremer who will retire at the end of March.
Japer will report to Chris Calio, president and chief operating officer of RTX. Calio is slated to become RTX’s new CEO on May 2, succeeding Greg Hayes.
Jasper, 55, has been president of RTX’s Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems business unit since 2018. The Collins business provides solutions for military, government, and civil customers. His appointment to lead Raytheon is effective Jan. 7.
“Phis is a proven leader with significant depth of experience delivering defense solutions to the military customer,” Calio said in a statement. “His recent integration of RTX’s connected battlespace solutions, a critical customer priority and growth driver for the company, is one of the many business transformations he has led over his career.”
The Raytheon unit consolidates the defense-focused businesses of RTX.
Jasper will also service as part of RTX’s senior leadership team.
Troy Bunk will succeed Jasper as president of Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems unit. Heather Robertson will be the unit’s chief operating officer, and RTX named Nathan Boelkins as president of Collins Aerospace’s Avionics unit.
