Saab Wins $44 Million Order For RBS 70 Air Defense System

Sweden’s Saab AB signed a $44 million contract on delivery for the new RBS 70 NG very short range air defense system (VSHORAD) to an undisclosed customer, the company said Sept. 21.The order includes supply and long-term maintenance and support of the RBS 70 NG system, which is the company’s latest air defense missile system offering.The RBS 70 NG is a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) that uses a new generation sight module with integrated high-resolution thermal imager, allowing for an…
