Schafer Corp.’s Government Services Sector was awarded a three-year task order to provide Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Innovation Office (I2O).
The task order is under the company’s Seaport-e prime contract with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.
“We are honored DARPA has selected Schafer to support I2O,” said Wesley Blankinship, Schafer senior vice president, Government Services. “This contract expands Schafer’s position as a leading SETA provider at DARPA and deepens the company’s qualifications in cyber security and data analytics.”
Schafer will assist DARPA I2O with formulating, executing and transitioning research and development projects that create leading-edge technologies and systems in the areas of Cyber, Analytics and Computing.
The task order will involve more than 70 personnel.
The DARPA I2O explores game-changing technologies in the fields of information science and software to anticipate and create rapid shifts in the complex national security landscape.
