MBDA on Nov. 14 appointed Orbital Sciences Corp. [ORB] co-founder Scott Webster as Chairman of the Board, CEO and Managing Director of MBDA Inc., replacing Jerry Agee who is retiring. 

The Board of MBDA and the Board of Directors of MBDA Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of MBDA, approved the appointment.

Webster has been on the BMDA Inc. Board of Directors since 2009 and succeeds Agee this month.

At Orbital, Webster has been a member of the board of directors since inception and served as head of the space system manufacturer’s business development, president of its rocket systems division and Chairman of the Board and CEO of its satellite services subsidiary. 

Agee, a former Navy intelligence officer, was a former top executive at Northrop Grumman [NOC] before moving to MBDA. 

MBDA is jointly held by BAE Systems with 37.5 percent, EADS with 37.5 percent and Finmeccanica with 25 percent.
