Sea Launch Set To Lift Off Next Monday With Sicral 1B Satellite

Sea Launch is poised to fire up a Zenit-3SL rocket at 1:16 a.m. PT next Monday to launch the Sicral 1B satellite for Telespazio, the launch service announced. Upon arrival at the Equatorial launch site, at 154 degrees West Longitude, the Sea Launch team will initiate a 72-hour countdown. After ballasting the Odyssey Launch Platform to launch depth, the team will roll out and erect a Zenit-3SL rocket on the launch pad, execute final tests and then proceed with fueling…
