ShotSpotter, Inc., yesterday said it has acquired the acoustic gunshot detection product line from QinetiQ North America (QNA), making it the sole market leader in acoustic gunshot detection systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ShotSpotter acquired the operating assets, technology, and customer list of QNA's SECURES products business, which provides localization of gunfire for response by law enforcement and other first responders. ShotSpotter also serves the law enforcement community and its Gunshot Location System is currently in use…
